Abstract

Light emitting displays suffer from a visibility problem when used under sun light or high ambient light level. A typical example is an out-door installation in a fly bridge ships or a kiosks. There are several technological solutions to improve the situation but in any case the main parameter to measure the visibility of a light emitting display is the Contrast Ratio.
